I love Vienna, it’s my favourite city after Berlin in the whole of Europe, I’d move there tomorrow if Berlin wasn’t so bloody great to live in. Bringing a little taste of what we’re missing are the boys from Vienna’s indie-pop band Ja, Panik who funnily enough have made Berlin their home of choice also. Thomas and Andreas curate a lovely Vienna-centric evening for us at Flittchenbar at Kotti with three live acts and more.
The run down looks like this:
European Rich Kids which is Thomas and Andreas themselves having a go at “Dunkelschwrzesten Wienerliedern”.
Vera Kropf of Luise Pop with her drama-pop from Vienna’s Praterstern……and Bo Candy and His Broken Hearts rockin and rollin it out of Vienna’s suburbs.
Djs Natalie Stardust and Mr.Beautiful Kantine provide the in-between sounds with Mr. Kantine playing Viennese only songs we are informed so should be a special evening…
…and Andreas “Ja, Panik” Spechtl and Christiane “Britta” Rsinger will sing a new Berlin-Vienna song for us.
Hopefully the bands will have brought a few kisten of Gsser bier with them to truly make this a memorable evening.
Here’s a couple of clips…a Luise Pop pool party and below that Ja, Panik practice their sequence dance moves…when they’re not standing around drinking beer on the beautiful streets of golden Vienna that is.
